Family and friends gathered Friday evening in the auditorium of the Lighthouse High School for the 2017 graduation commencement ceremony where over 30 graduates were honored.

After a processional, the high school’s principal Karlene Bianco welcomed those in attendance and the colors were posted by Price’s VFW Post #2379.

Class valedictorian Tiffany Coon then spoke to the graduates, reminiscing on several memories from the school and thanking the staff for their continued support.

“We just needed that special touch that only Lighthouse could provide,” Coon said in her speech.

After two musical numbers from the school’s band, Carbon School District School Board Vice President Jeff Richens offered the keynote address, offering several pieces of advice to the graduates including taking time to enjoy the moment and focusing on the most important things in life, among others.

The diplomas were then awarded as the graduates embarked on their newest journey.
