2018 Emery County Fair to Offer Fun Competition

Trap Shoot

The Emery County Fair Trap Shoot has been scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. The shoot will take place at the Emery County Gun Club Shooting Range. Three guns will be given away at the event. The cost is $5 per person and there will be divisions for youth through adult. Please bring your own ammo or purchase a box at the event for $7. Bike Races

Bike races for the Emery County have been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. Riders should bring their own bike and meet at the road West of the arena in Castle Dale. There will be several age groups from a preschool trike race through adults. Eight bikes will be given away. For more information, please call Nadene Hinkins and (435) 749-3729.

Water Balloon Volleyball

There will be a water balloon volleyball game at the sand pit volleyball court (north of the vendor booths in Castle Dale) on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 2:30 p.m. All participants will receive a participation prize along with the winners receiving a gift certificate to the Forbidden Sweet Shop. We will provide towels and balloons, just come prepared to have fun and maybe get a little wet! We will play with teams of four people per team. No need to pre-register, just find some friends and come have some fun in the sun!

Teen Tetherball

There will be a teen tetherball competition on Saturday, Aug. 4 beginning at 3:30 p.m. by the sand volleyball court in Castle Dale. The grand prize will be an inflatable kayak and all participants will receive a coupon for a glazed doughnut at Stewart’s. Sign up online at www.emerycountyfair.com

Exhibit Guidelines

ENTRIES

All items to be exhibited must be pre-registered at the fair at the date of entry. Registration details and forms can be found on line at emerycountyfair.com. Please bring all entries to the Emery County Recreation Center located at 75 S 400 E in Castle Dale, Utah on the check in day. Fresh items will be accepted August 3rd at 9:00 before judging.

Check-In: Tuesday, July 31 9:00-6:00

Judging: Wednesday, Aug. 3 9:00-2:00

Check-Out: Saturday, Aug. 4 6:00-8:00
