At the beginning of 2019, Mr. Brian Dawes will become the new principal of Parkside Elementary in Salt Lake City. He is leaving Ferron Elementary in the hands of Mrs. Heather Behling.
Behling has been the Special Education Preschool Coordinator for the Emery District prior to this new principalship position. Behling, a current resident of Castle Dale, will begin her duties on Jan. 2, 2019.
Mr. Dawes commented that this was like going home. He grew up in the Salt Lake area and has elderly parents living there now. He also has a daughter and family on the Wasatch Front, so the move is advantageous for the Dawes family. He has been at Ferron Elementary since the early 2000’s. Dawes has enjoyed the faculty and students there but things fell into place very rapidly for the quick relocation.
