ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS – NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Carbon County-Carbon Canal/Westwood Subdivision Flood Control Project, 2018, will be received by Carbon County at the Carbon County Clerk’s Office @ 751 East 100 North, Price, Utah 84501 until 12:00 p.m. (noon), on January 16th, and then opened and publicly read aloud at the regularly scheduled Commission Meeting on that same day on January 16th, at 4:30 p.m.

A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner, shall accompany the Bid.

Major items of work include:
1. Compacted Embankment 7,400 C.Y.
2. Excavation 8,200 C.Y.
3. Rock 14,000 C.Y.
4. Structural Concrete 75 C.Y.

Carbon County is not responsible for bids that are late due to delays in delivery by any source. Faxed and emailed bids are not acceptable.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the County.

Prospective bidders shall assemble in the First Floor Conference Room of the Carbon County Administration Building, on January 3rd, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., for the group showing.

Attendance at the project pre-site-show meeting and site-show is mandatory and a prerequisite to submitting a bid for the project. Bidding Contractors, or a duly authorized representative, must arrive at the Project Engineer’s office for the said meeting and site-showing, at Johansen & Tuttle Engineering, 90 South 100 East, Castle Dale, UT.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following location: Engineer’s Office: Johansen & Tuttle Engineering, Inc., 90 South 100 East, Castle Dale, Utah, 84513 or at the Carbon County Clerk’s Office, 751 East 100 North, Price UT 84501. Contract documents may be obtained at the Site Show upon a non-refundable payment of

$100.00. The $100.00 fee will provide both a hard copy and electronic copy of the project specifications and drawings.
