Separate sealed BIDS for the rock production for the Carbon County- Flood Control Projects, 2018 , will be received by Carbon County at the Carbon County Clerk’s Office at 751 East 100 North, Price, Utah 84501 until 12:00 p.m. (noon), on December 18, 2018, and then opened and publicly read aloud at the regularly scheduled Commission Meeting on December 19th, at 4:30 p.m.
A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner, shall accompany the Bid.
Major items of work include producing 5 different rock sizes, D50 size as follows:
Size Quantity
1. 30-inch 25,000 C.Y.
2. 24-inch 1,300 C.Y.
3. 20-inch 1,000 C.Y.
4. 18-inch 300 C.Y.
5. 14-inch 550 C.Y.
Carbon County is not responsible for bids that are late due to delays in delivery by any source. Faxed and emailed bids are not acceptable.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the County.
Prospective bidders shall assemble in the First Floor Conference Room of the Carbon County Administration Building at 751 E 100 North, Price, Utah, on December 11 , 2018, at 10:00 a.m., for the project pre-site-show meeting and site-show.
Attendance at the project pre-site-show meeting and site-show is mandatory and a prerequisite to submitting a bid for the project.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following location: Engineer’s Office: Johansen & Tuttle Engineering, Inc., 90 South 100 East, Castle Dale, Utah 84513 or at the Carbon County Clerk’s Office, 751 East 100 North, Price UT 84501. Contract documents may be obtained at the Site Show upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00. The $50.00 fee will provide both a hard copy and electronic copy of the project specifications and drawings.
