Carbon traveled to Delta for a region game on Friday night. After surrendering an opening bucket, the Dinos went on a 12-0 run to take the lead. The Rabbits climbed back in the game to end the opening quarter 19-15 in favor of Carbon.

The Dinos controlled most of the second quarter but then stalled offensively. Delta took advantage and ended the half on a 9-0 run to regain the lead, 28-25. Delta continued their momentum coming out of halftime to increase their lead by six in the third quarter. The Dinos pulled within seven in the final quarter but ultimately fell 57-48.

Derek Hillam and Collin Lewis led the Dinos with 19 and 16 points, respectively. Jon Zamantakis led Carbon in rebounds with nine boards. Carbon again had a poor shooting night, going 17-51 from the field for a 33% field goal percentage.

The Dinos (5-12, 2-5 Region 14) will have a pair of tough home games this week as they welcome the first and second place teams in region into town. First, they will play Juab (9-8, 6-1 Region 14) on Wednesday night and then Providence Hall (13-3, 7-0 Region 14) on Friday. Both games will be streamed live online. The latter will also be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10.
