The Spartan boys finished second behind host Richfield on Wednesday, coming in with 42 points. Emery had four boys finish in the top 10, led by Chase Christiansen in sixth place with a time of 17:23.8. Bryar Meccariello was right behind in seventh. In eighth was Ty Funk. McKay Meccariello finished in 10th, Tanyon Allred finished in 11th, Keldon Guymon 17th and Griffin Livingston finished up in 19th.

Although Emery girls didn’t have enough to qualify as a team, Bethany Justice ran a 23:24, which would have put her in 18th place.

The Dinos will travel to Vernal on Wednesday for another meet while the Spartans will travel to South Sevier for a region tilt as well on the same day.
