With the new school year just around the corner, Carbon Caring for Kids is once again gearing up to provide meals to local youth. The organization is made possible by many volunteers as well as those who donate each week to ensure that local youth have enough food outside of school nutrition programs.

“We are a couple weeks out before we start packing kits for kids in our area again,” said Marcy Loveless, a leader for Carbon Caring for Kids. “We are starting to schedule out our months. If you have a group and are wanting to help pack the kits, let me know and we will get you scheduled.”

Kits vary each week as the Carbon Caring for Kids organization works with local schools to identify the needs of students. Donations are then accepted and distributed to those in need in a discrete, confidential manner.

“This program would not be possible without all of you,” Loveless said. “Thank you for making it possible.”
