Local residents will once again have a chance to burn some calories before this year’s Thanksgiving Day feast during the 11th annual Turkey Trot.

“The cost of participating is only one canned food item per participant,” event organizers shared. “No pre-registration required, so come on up on race morning and enjoy a beautiful, fun run/walk.”

The course will run from the fairgrounds parking lot (by the ice rink) to the base of Pinnacle Peak, which is a four mile out and back course. Organizers will have the distance marked every half mile so participants can pick the distance that works best for them.

In addition to running and walking, biking is also allowed. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.

This yearly event is hosted at the Carbon County Fairgrounds (450 South Fairgrounds Way, Price) at 8:30 a.m. Food raised will be donated to the Carbon County Food Bank.
