Carbon High boys’ tennis has been in full swing this season, having already competed in a number of matches. March 23 and 24, the boys traveled to the St. George Dual in the Desert Tournament and played their best against four schools.

On March 23, the Dinos narrowly lost to an Alta team, 3-2, then beat Judge Memorial, 3-2. The following day, Herriman and Juan Diego triumphed over the team 5-0 and 4-1, respectively. One of these matches went to a tiebreaker to decide, which Carbon lost 11-9.

On March 27, the Dinos then traveled to Roosevelt to take on Union High School. According to coach Pete Riggs, the team played well and were in at least two matches. Carson Martines nearly pulled a victory, going toe-to-toe with his second singles opponent. However, Martines eventually lost 7-5, 6-4.

The second doubles team of the match consisted of Bonham Brewer and Donovan Taylor, who won their match 6-2 and 6-3.
