Both the Lady Dinos and Spartans had plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and show off their skills over the weekend as Carbon and Emery’s volleyball teams traveled to participate in the Dixie Flyers Tournament in St. George.
Emery beat Pine View (2-0), lost to Snow Canyon (0-2), defeated Providence Hall (2-0) and then lost to Carbon (0-2), Maple Mountain (1-2) and Hurricane (0-2).
The Lady Dinos handled Pine View (2-0), Providence Hall (2-0), Emery (2-0), Grantsville (2-0) and Cedar (2-1) but fell to Richfield (0-2) and Maple Mountain (2-1).
On Tuesday, the teams will be at it again. Emery will play the Lady Beavers in Beaver while Carbon will be at home to battle South Sevier.
