Carbon High Cross Country Team Competes in Last Region Match

The Carbon High cross country team faced Region 14 competitors last week in the final match-up before the state championship.

The Lady Dinos took a second place win with a score of 47 while Juab nabbed first place with 32 points. Three individuals placed in the top 10 during the match. Regan Hanson placed fifth overall with a time of 16:46.7 while Emma Haddock placed ninth and Grace Broadbear took 10th.

The Carbon Dino boys’ team snagged a third place finish, tying with Union. Both teams scored 81 total points while Delta took the first place win with 57 points. Sophomore James Bryner placed in the top 10 in 10th place with a time of 15:25.7. Junior Ammon Wilson followed behind Bryner in 13th place with a time of 17:35.9.

The Carbon Dinos will now prepare for the state tournament, which is slated for Wednesday at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City.
