Carbon High Marching Band Competes at Red Rocks Invitational

The Carbon High Marching Band traveled to St. George over the weekend to compete in the Red Rocks Marching Band Invitational.

The competition took place at Dixie State University where the band competed in the 2A division. The Dinos performed pieces from the musical “Jersey Boys,” highlighting songs by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Carbon Marching Band received a score of 59, of which is based on various elements, such as music, percussion and color guard.

Marching band director Adam Cunningham stated that the band definitely improved this year. When asked about his views on next season, he said, “I want to see growth, and not just in numbers. In dedication, planning and in the students.”
