Carbon High’s Dino Dynamics Take Second Place Overall in Region Competition

The Dino Dynamics competed in the 3A Region 14 drill team competition on Saturday. The competition was hosted at Juab High School.

At the competition, the Dynamics competed in three categories: military, dance and kick. In the military category, the Dino Dynamics took third place. They placed third in the dance category as well. The Dynamics shined in the kick category, taking second.

Overall the Dino Dynamics took second place. Juab High School beat them, taking first place, and Delta High School followed them, taking third overall.

Now, the Dino Dynamics will be competing in the state competition taking place Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Coaching the Dynamics are Nicole Bennett, Missy Labrum, Celeste Thorpe and Brielle Bogdin. They have worked hard with the girls all year and will continue to work with them until their state competition.

At the region competition, Academic All-Region and All-Region awards were announced. Stevie Hanna and Kylee Bedke received Academic All-Region. In order to get this award, these girls had to be in their senior year with a 3.75 or higher GPA. T’Ann Passarella, Kylee Bedke and Haley Baggs received the All-Region award.
