On Thursday, Carbon Medical Service broke ground for its new clinic at 331 Hwy 123 in Sunnyside.  It has been a long time coming and finally we are getting started on our clinic. Carbon Medical’s Board of Directors was instrumental in applying for the grant that was awarded to the clinic for the new building. It will be an asset to Carbon and Emery counties.

Canyon Country Construction, LLC out of Moab was chosen as the general contractor. The new facility will be 8,000 sq. ft. and will house the pharmacy, three operatories for dental, six exam rooms plus an urgent care area, behavioral health area and digital x-ray. We will have adequate parking for our patients and employees.

Carbon Medical has been operating since 1952 when it was located in the old Dragerton Hospital. The current building was built in 1973 and we have outgrown it. Carbon Medical has expanded its services and also its hours of operation to help with access to our patients no matter of payor sources. Carbon Medical offers a sliding fee if patients qualify due to income and family size.
