On Friday, the Carbon boys’ tennis team competed in its region tournament. The day was a success as each member of the team solidified a spot in the state tournament, which will take place in Liberty Park in Salt Lake City on Thursday, May 9.
Carson Martines won two matches while finishing fifth in first singles. Jack Christensen won one match and took fourth in second singles. In third singles, Preston Condie won two matches and took second.
Bonham Brewer and Keenan Hatch placed second in first doubles with their two wins. Jack and Leonard Livingston won a match to finish in fourth in second doubles.
The Dinos combined score was good enough to finish in second overall in region. Head coach Pete Riggs was thrilled with the team’s accomplishment.
“Great job, boys!” he said.
