The Dinos went to the mat as they hosted Duchesne on Tuesday. Carbon had a tough showing as eight of their 13 wresters lost by a pin. Going into the season, the lower weight classes were thought to be a strength of this team but it was the mid to upper weight classes that found success against the Eagles on Tuesday.

Conner Fausett (145), Keityn Hunt (160), Jacob Barlow (170) and Makade Bradley (heavyweight) all pinned their opponents in their respective weight classes. Jacob Jewkes was the only wrestler whose match was decided by points but ultimately fell, 11-9.

After the performance, coach Brock Fausett remains optimistic. “Not exactly how I wanted to start the season but we learned a lot of what we can work on,” he said.

There was a quick turnaround for the Dinos as they hosted Richfield on Wednesday.
