Pinnacle’s Jaxson Carlisle has committed to further his baseball career at Grand View University.

Carlisle finished his senior year setting a state record in 1A for not only most strikeouts in a career with 237, but with most strikeouts in a 1A single season with 107. Carlisle also maintained a .544 batting average.

“I would first like to thank God, for the opportunity and helping me get to where I am today,” Carlisle said. “My dad, my grandpa, my uncle Anthony, my mom, I love them the most. They have helped me out tons. My siblings Liam, Destinee, Charly and Kaigh have all made me want to push myself extra harder. Coach Hansen has been my greatest blessing he is a father figure to me he has a very special place in my heart.

Carlisle continued, “To my best friend that passed away a couple years ago, Kaden Jones. He made me want to go the extra mile as well I did a lot of the things I do for him. The Alford Family I can’t thank enough they have taken such good care of me and Tony has got the competitiveness in me since day one. To the Abeyta family, I would like to thank them for their support and as well as Kyle Abeyta, who has been there for me since 13 and has taught me great things. Coach Willie has been my man. He taught me how to not give up and take care of family and do what you love. So, I am excited to announce, I will be attending Grand View University!”

Carlisle is the son of Tyler Carlisle, Sami Farlaino and Sam Farlaino. He received offers from varying schools out of state, but decided on Grand View in Des Moines, Iowa.
