Jaxson Carlisle, a Grand View University commit from Pinnacle Canyon Academy, recently earned First Team 1A All State and First Team All Region. He is also in the running for the 1A MVP award.
Carlisle broke two state records this year, one being a 1A record for most strikeouts in a single season (107), and the other being the 1A record for most strikeouts in a high school career (237). He also maintained a .540 batting average, which was the second highest in all of 1A baseball. Carlisle maintained a .907 fielding percentage on the season.
Carlisle is the son of Tyler Carlisle, Sami Farlaino and Sam Farlaino. He received offers from varying schools out of state, but decided on Grand View in Des Moines, Iowa.
