For the second consecutive year, the Castle Heights Elementary PTA hosted a 5K fun run for the school. This year’s run took place on Wednesday evening and was the first installment in a four-part series of events deemed the Four Family Knights Out.
These activities will benefit families and include events such as bingo, cornhole and the like. All money raised at these events will directly benefit the PTA. At Wednesday’s 5K, participants could bike, walk or run. Although bearing a 5K title, the course did not quite reach that length.
Once attendees arrived back to the school, a dinner was provided by the PTA. Over $500 was raised during this event. The following Knights Out have not yet been scheduled; however, the school will be hosting a Halloween carnival in late October.
