The Dinos made a trip to play the Juab Wasps on Wednesday night in their first region game of the year. They avoided the usual slow start to the game and led most of the first half. Carbon and Juab went into halftime tied at 16. The third was all Wasps as they outscored the Dions 19-8 in the quarter. Carbon found its offense in the fourth and scored 16 points but ultimately fell, 53-40.
Derek Hillam had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Dinos but as a team Carbon struggled offensively again, shooting 25% from the field.
