After Dixie beat Carbon 8-0 on Thursday, in which a Dixie pitcher threw a no-hitter, the Dinos responded with 13 runs against 5A Mountain Crest in Friday’s first contest, winning the game 13-12. Led by Cody Lowe, Chase Morgan and Jayden Flemmett, who all had two hits apiece, the Dinos pounded out 11 hits in the game. Zac Bradley and Ty Anderson had doubles, while Lowe legged out a triple. Lowe also had a team-high two RBIs. The Dinos used five pitchers in the game, with Morgan earning the win after going 1 2/3 innings with three strikeouts.

In Friday’s second game, the Carbon bats kept rolling as the Dinos tallied another 11 hits, led by Gavin Robinett and Lowe, each with two hits in the game. Carbon beat 4A Payson, 14-13. Lowe had two RBIs and Morgan had three, going 1-5 in the game from the plate. Josh Barlow went 3 2/3 innings, earning the win. Carbon scored four run in the bottom of the seventh inning to steal the win.

Looking to finish the weekend on a high note, the Dinos ran smack dab into Cedar, who sent Carbon packing with a 10-0 loss on Saturday. The Dinos managed just one hit in the game, which came off the bat of Robinett. He also took the loss on the mound after giving five runs, only two earned, in two innings pitched.
