The Payson Lions earned the Region 12 regular season championship on Friday, pushing the Carbon Dinos into the second seed to end region play.
Carbon finished 5-1 on the season, just behind Payson’s 6-1 finish. Now, the Dinos will gear up for the first round of the state playoffs.
Carbon will host third seed Grantsville from Region 11 on Thursday. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
