Castle Dale’s Dusty Riders and the Rim Rock Riders from Price competed in their annual district meet in Castle Dale on Saturday. The Dusty Riders’ leader is Lana Kofford and the Rim Rock Riders are led by Claudette Rich. Both women have been serving the youngsters of their respective areas for many years.
The competition began with a parade followed by an arena drill. Performance classes were held next and timed events followed in the indoor Blue Sage Arena. All areas included single and team competition with many events featuring senior and junior teams.
The Dusty Riders, who have more than 40 members, were victorious. The Price club’s membership is about half that of Castle Dale’s.
