EHS Swim Takes on Uintah

Emery swim traveled to compete against Uintah on Tuesday. The meet was extremely close as both schools won many events.

The girls’ relay featuring Alexis Johansen, Haley Guymon, Kaelee Hooley and BriAnne Bass won the 200 medley. Johansen, Guymon, Hooley and Angellena Migliori finished first in the 400 free relay as well. In the girls’ individual events, Hooley won the 50 free and Guymon took the 100 fly.

The boys’ relay also found success. Deegan Minchey, Keldan Guymon, Asher Beagley and Parker Stilson won the 200 medley and 400 free relays. Stilson wasn’t finished and won the 200 IM and 100 free. Gymon finished first in the 50 free while Beagley placed first in the 100 breast.

The girls’ team slipped by Union to win 140-138. The boys also finished first as a team, 158-109, as they glided by Union.

Head coach Andrea Johansen was proud of her team and its effort. “The swimmers raced well, especially coming back from Thanksgiving break,” she said.

Up next, the swimming Spartans will travel to Richfield to take on the Wildcats and the Carbon Dinos in the Richfield Invite on Friday, Nov. 30.
