I was born September 6, 1928, in Ferron, Utah to Irena Ralphs Lemon and Arthur Andrew Lemon. I was the youngest of five children,(1 boy and 4 girls). They had hoped for another male child so they could name him after his grandfather John Carid Lemon, but when the baby was a girl they gave her the feminine of John, and so my name is Jeanne.
I married my husband, Claude Scovill, when I was 19 years old. We had five children whose names are Claudia, Dennis, Garth, Irene and Michelle. I also have quite a few grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.
I went on a mission with my husband to Ottawa in 1983. My sister Mae taught me to play the piano when I was young and I have enjoyed playing the piano all my life.
