The Gunnison Lady Bulldogs traveled to Castle Dale to take on the Lady Spartans Thursday afternoon and were no match for Emery’s offense.
Emery’s Alexis Winter scored early in the first half. Morgan Hurdsman followed up with a goal of her own and Sophie Huntington was able to find the back of the net twice in the first half. At the break, Emery had a commanding lead over the Bulldogs, 4-0.
Winter, Elli Whitesel and Makieya Bertuzzi each scored a goal in the second half to take the dominating 7-0 win.
Emery (4-1, 0-0 Region 15) will begin region play as the team hosts North Sanpete (1-4, 0-0 Region 15) on Tuesday. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. in Castle Dale.
