The Lady Spartans hosted a region contest against the San Juan Broncos on Thursday evening. Megan Jensen won the tip-off and Morgan Hurdsman immediately put Emery up by three with a stroke from outside. The Spartans shot the ball well all night, going 32-62 from the field, translating to a 52% field goal percentage. They hit seven out of 18 three-pointers to go 39% from beyond the arc.

Emery only allowed 14 points in the first half to led the match 37-14 at the midway point. The Lady Broncos found more offense in the final two quarters, but the damage was already done. The Lady Spartans never slowed down and remained undefeated on the season with a 79-43 victory.

Jensen led the team with 21 points and nine rebounds. Kinlee Toomer was Ms. Efficient, going 6-7 for 15 points on the night. Kacelyn Toomer added 16 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Spartans had 17 steals in the game, five coming from Hurdsman. Emery took good care of the ball and only had five turnovers.

The Lady Spartans (15-0, 6-0 Region 15) will have two games next week. On Tuesday, they will travel to Monroe to take on a good South Sevier Rams team (12-3, 4-1 Region 15). Then, on Thursday night, they will be back in the Spartan Center for a contest against the Richfield Wildcats (8-7, 4-1 Region 15). The latter game will be streamed live online and be broadcast on ETV Channel 10.
