The Spartans headed to Kearns over the weekend to participate in the Bingham Invitational. There were over 10 schools at the fixture, including large schools such as American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Cedar City, to name a few.

Despite the tough competition, the Spartans had a productive weekend that saw many record new personal records (PR). Haley Guymon beat her personal best by 1.99 seconds in the 200 IM with her fifth-place finish. Then, on Saturday, Guymon went out and beat another PR, dropping 2.39 seconds off her time and placing third in the 100 breast.

Kaelee Hooley also set a personal record in the 100 fly, shaving off 2.93 seconds to end in ninth. The girls’ 400 free relay, consisting of Guymon, Hooley, Raquelle Simmons and Cambrie Jensen, cut 15.65 seconds off its time and took ninth.

Lone Peak took first in both the boys’ (368) and girls’ (379) divisions. The Spartans took 10th with 61 points while the Lady Spartans finished in ninth with 91.
