Last Thursday found the Emery High wrestling team facing off against Piute and taking the overall victory 32-30.
Six Spartans walked away with victories throughout the tourney, including Korby Christiansen, 106 lbs, who took a win by fall and Chase Christiansen, 120 lbs, who took another win by fall.
McKay Mecariello took a 4-2 win by decision, weighing in at 132 lbs, and teammate Gus Dalton, 138 lbs, took another win by fall. Newt Oveson and Lon Huntsman each took another win by fall with Oveson weighing in at 160 and Huntsman at 170.
Emery also lost five matches by fall at the tournament.
