At this point in the school year, many local high school seniors are faced with the prospect of applying to and paying for college. Emery Telcom wants to help relieve a bit of the stress by providing local students with scholarships to help defer some of those expenses.
Emery Telcom’s scholarship program offers $1000 awards to high school students from Carbon and Emery Counties. In offering these scholarships, their goal is to provide financial aid to students who have demonstrated strong academics, community involvement and a desire to further their education. This scholarship money is to be used for tuition, school fees and books.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 25. Interested students can find information and the application at the Emery Telcom website at www.emerytelcom.com, or directly download and fill out the application from https://www.emerytelcom.com/downloads/scholarship_guidelines_2011.pdf.
The company will give priority to applicants who have not been awarded other scholarships or financial aid.
