The Spartans participated in the state golf match this year in Roosevelt. Only the top nine teams made the cut after the first day. Unfortunately for Emery, the Spartans finished in 12th place and missed the cut.
Kavery Killpack and Trevin Wakefield led the Spartans with 93 and 95 round scores. Tayven Guymond and Devin Guymon each shot 102 to make the Spartan’s team score 392.
Grantsville came in ninth and was the last team to make the cut after a 366 first-day score. The Spartans did beat out American Leadership Academy (404) and South Summit (409), whom finished in 13th and 14th.
