Southeast Utah Health Department News Release

On August 17, beginning at 8:30 a.m., Southeast Utah Health Department (SEUHD) in conjunction with SERDA, will be hosting their first ever “Helper City Mayor’s Walk”.

Helper City has decided to follow in the footsteps of Price City in becoming a designated Healthy Utah Community. One of the steps that must be completed in order to become a designated city, is to implement strategies that would improve the health of the community. The “Helper Mayor’s Walk” provides community members the opportunity to be more active. The mayor’s walk is intended to connect community members to the places they live and encourage them to get out, be active and enjoy key areas in their city.

So come along for a chance to take a nice stroll around Helper, while also getting to talk to Mayor Lenise Peterman.

This year, attendees are encouraged to bring their pets along for the walk. Participants are encouraged to come out and enjoy some breakfast or some coffee from Coyote’s Well.
