North Summit’s 14-point, fourth-quarter outburst guaranteed Emery would travel for its opening round playoff game.
Emery fell 43-29, and would travel to Beaver, Enterprise or Richfield for the first round of the 2A State Playoffs. Emery’s opponent would depend on the tiebreaker rules.
The date and time of the playoff game have not been determined.
“The game went about how I had envisioned it,” said Emery High Principal Larry Davis. “I thought these two teams were very close. We came in with identical records in the division.”
Emery led 29-28 heading into the fourth quarter.
The game was broadcast live on ETV Channel 10. A rebroadcast will be scheduled.
Emery will travel to Enterprise on Thursday for the first round of the 2A State Tournament. The time is TBD.
