The Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah basketball team decimated a local “All-Star” team 105-39 Tuesday in Price.

USU Eastern’s scheduled opponent Atwater Select couldn’t make the trip, so a group of locals put together a team to take on the Golden Eagles.

The glorified pickup game saw USU Eastern jump out to a 67-12 lead in the first half. The Golden Eagles cruised throughout the game.

USU Eastern interim head coach Brian Edelstein said he cared about how his team played not who his team was playing.

“We had the toughest preseason in the conference,” Edelstein said.

Edelstein also said USU Easter played four true road games against quality opponents.

Dashaun Wiggins scored a game-high 17 points. David Dawson added 16 points and 12 rebounds, and McKay LaSalle scored 15 points.

A recording of the game will be broadcast on ETV Channel 10.
