A strong offense from the Gunnison Bulldogs doomed the Spartans in a matchup on Thursday. The visiting team outscored Emery 3-1 in the 2A Central game.
The Bulldogs netted the ball twice in the first half while keeping the Spartans scoreless. A goal scored by Emery in the second was not enough to notch the win.
Luca Paque scored the lone goal for Emery.
The Spartans will host Wasatch Academy on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
