Fifteen driver and their cars competed to be the last man standing at the Ferron Peach Days demolition derby.

Corbin Jacobson, Fairview, won the main event after getting disqualified in his opening heat because his car got stuck in the tires on the edge of the arena. Jacobson came back to win the grudge match heat to earn his spot in the finals.

Jacobson drove a ’71 New Yorker he found in Wyoming. He said his favorite part of the derby was “hitting Cassidy Schear[‘s car].”

Adam Stubbs finished second and Schear finished third.

The derby was Jacobson’s fourth such contest.
