Former Carbon Dino football coach Jan Jorgensen rebounded from his only MMA defeat last summer with a split decision win Friday in Boise, Idaho in Resurrection Fighting Alliance’s three-round heavyweight showcase.

In front of a packed house in CenturyLink Arena for RFA 27, Jorgensen used his stamina to earn the decision against Josue Lugo, aka “Mr. Incredible,” responding positively from his only professional defeat, which occurred last summer in Denver to Josh Copeland in RFA 16. Two judges scored the bout 30-27 and 29-28, respectively, while another penned a 29-28 score for Lugo.

With the win, Jorgensen’s career record now sits at 8-1.
