The staff at the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center borrowed the Carbon County Senior Citizen Center’s lawn on Tuesday afternoon to help the community celebrate Utah Family Month with a fun, high flying event.

Those in attendance were encouraged to nab a free kite and decorate it before proceeding to the expansive lawn and flying their newly-detailed kites in the wind.

The fun did not just include kite activities, however. Hot dogs, beverages and the like were also available for those that wanted to fill their stomachs and wet their whistles. The kites, supplies and food were free to all in attendance.
