The Lady Dinos softball team kicked off their state playoff run on Saturday at Cedar High. Carbon played their first game against Cedar, losing 7-0.
The team moved on to the second round of the 3A state championships where they defeated Juan Diego, 4-2. The victory advanced the Dinos to the next round of the double elimination tournament.
Although Carbon does not know who they will face next, the game will take place Thursday evening at 5 p.m. in Spanish Fork. With a win, Carbon will advance in the tournament, keeping their state title dream alive.
