Union scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the eighth to escape with the win against the Carbon Lady Dinos Tuesday afternoon, 5-4.
Carbon scored three runs in the sixth and another run in the seventh to take the 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the seventh. The Cougars scored three runs to tie the game, forcing the game to extra innings.
Freshman Brooke Moosman pitched the entire game, giving up four earned runs off of nine hits. Dekota Kraushaar, Kelsey Sorenson, Lyndsey Madrigal and Cali Fossat each had two hits in the game. Carbon out hit Union 11-9.
Carbon (8-3, 2-1 Region 14) will play at South Sevier on Tuesday.
