Carbon traveled to Uintah on Friday to play the fifth-ranked softball team in the state in the Utes.
Uintah showed off their strength, scoring seven runs over the first two innings. The Lady Dinos got two runs back in the fourth but then gave up five more runs in the following two at bats for the Utes. The Lady Dinos were humbled in a 12-2 beating.
Carbon (7-3, 0-0 Region 14), weather permitting, will attempt to open region play again this week with two home games. The Lady Dinos will compete against Providence Hall (0-2, 0-1 Region 14) on Tuesday and Delta (1-4, 0-3 Region 14) on Thursday. The later game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10 and online at 3:30 p.m.
