The Lady Spartans had one game left to complete their unbeaten season. The contest took place on Thursday night in San Juan against the Lady Broncos.
Senior Megan Jensen led the way for Emery and had a season high 39 points in the matchup. Emery controlled the game and was up 39-23 at halftime. San Juan never got close and the Lady Spartans wrapped up their perfect season with an 83-47 victory.
Kacelyn Toomer added 13 points as 11 Lady Spartans got on the score board. Jensen led the team with eight rebounds followed by Hailey Allred with six. Morgan Hurdsman finished the game with half of the team’s 10 assists.
The Lady Spartans will have a week to prepare for the upcoming state tournament. Emery (21-0, 12-0 Region 15) will play ALA (3-14, 2-10 Region 14) on Feb. 15 at 3:10 pm at Orem High School. All tournament games will be streamed live online and on ETV Channel 10.
