Soccer is underway for the Lady Spartans, though they did not get off to the start they were hoping for. Emery hosted North Sanpete on Tuesday in a low scoring affair. It was still nil-nil in the second half before the Lady Hawks scored the lone goal of the game. They went on to best Emery 1-0.
The Lady Spartans then traveled to Juab on Thursday. Alexis Winter scored a goal for Emery in the first half as the game was tied at one at the midway point. The Lady Spartans could not keep the Lady Wasps from scoring in the second half and fell 3-1. Marisa Hall notched two goals for Juab to get the win.
Emery will be on the road this week to face Crimson Cliffs on Thursday and Granger on Friday.
