The Lady Spartans nabbed another win during one of their last region matches of the season on Wednesday. This match took place at Monticello’s Hideout Golf Course.

Tajiah Price led the Spartans in the match with a first place score of 36 points. Sydney Guymon placed third with 33 points while Lainee Jensen and Sydney Timothy tied for fourth with 29 points, respectively.

“The Hideout is a challenging course but the girls were up to the task,” said head coach Tom Hansen.

Emery won the meet by nearly 20 strokes with a total of 127 points. Grand then followed behind the Spartans with 108 points. Dolores Colorado High School was also in attendance at the match and walked away with 76 points, Manti, 61, San Juan, 54, and Gunnison, 49.

Emery will finish the regular season with the final region tournament at Richfield’s Cove View Golf Course on May 11. This tournament counts double on the season scores. The Spartans will then compete in a post-season tournament on May 18 at Mountain View Golf Course in South Jordan.
