Life Flight Extracts Crosswalk Collision Victim

A moving vehicle struck a 13-year-old male while he was crossing the street near 600 E. Main Street, Price, at approximately 3:13 p.m. Monday.

According to Price City Police Officer Tracy Allred, William Kirby of Helper was traveling westbound on Main Street when he hit the boy who was using a crosswalk.

The victim, whose name was not released, suffered road rash and internal injuries. He was taken to Castleview Hospital where he was stabilized and prepared for Life Flight transport.

Tracy said Utah Highway Patrol officials planned to reconstruct the accident using computer software. Tracy said criminal charges were pending in the case.
