Six local artists volunteered their time and talents to instruct the student body at Cottonwood Elementary on Friday morning.

All the grades, kindergarten through fifth, were able to interact with each artist by rotating through various classrooms. Leather work was instructed by Kory Larsen while students entered the gym to find Rebekah Mennes demonstrating interpretive dance.

Meagan Wilberg assisted each student with clay to try their hands at pottery making. Students followed Amy DeWitt folding origami. In the lunchroom, Julie Jones handed each student a cupcake and showed them how to decorate it. Tasha Jewkes told the students about photography and showed them the results.

This annual experience is sponsored by the PTO organization at the school.
