Orangeville and Ferron girl’s softball teams where declared Co-tournament Champions Monday at the Huntington Softball Complex after weather shortened the tournament.
Orangeville bested Ferron earlier in the double elimination tournament behind strong defense and fabulous pitching. Ferron fought back through the one-loss bracket to meet up with Orangeville in the championship round.
Ferron won the first championship-round game 10-7 to force a true championship. After convening for a short time, tournament officials decided to declare both team Co-champions because of inclement weather.
