The Pinnacle Panthers welcomed members of the community and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce to a ribbon cutting in honor of the school’s new gymnasium on Tuesday afternoon.
Four years in the making, the gym expands the opportunities to be offered to the school’s 469 students. The new addition will cater to high school students while the older gym will continue to benefit junior high and elementary students.
Head volleyball coach Heidi Kay took the lead at the event with a pair of golden scissors to cut the ribbon. Kay’s current volleyball team is the first to take advantage of the school’s newest addition, which features expanded seating, new locker rooms and more.
