Pinnacle Canyon Academy Press Release

Students at Pinnacle Canyon Elementary are singing their way to reading success. This year, Pinnacle students participate in the Singlish Oral Language program. This program celebrate Folk tales from rich traditions of American culture.

Singing helps build expressive language skills, aides in the development of long-term memory, forces the brain to use both hemispheres at once and generally makes people happier. Singing is an important part of Pinnacle’s reading intervention and allows students to increase reading scores in fun and fulfilling ways.

Students enjoyed sharing beloved songs such as “This Little Light or Mine,” “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” “Dem Bones” and more with their families at the end-of-the-year celebration.
